This Is Mildly Feral
This Is Mildly Feral
Somewhere Along the Way, We Got Older. And It Shows.
We wear the hats of a dozen different things and somehow still figure out how to keep standing. Keep working. Keep showing up. Be social. Be pleasant. Remember what everybody needs. And occasionally remember what we need.
Some days we handle it beautifully.
Other days, we need a minute.
That's life, though.
The life of a Mildly Feral woman.
We're grown. We're tired. We're funny. We're figuring things out as we go. We've lived enough life to know that having it all together is wildly overrated—and sometimes laughing through the hard days is the thing that gets you through them.
Mildly Feral was created for that woman.
The one who's still showing up, even if she has to mutter something under her breath first.
My Story
I'm in my early 40s, and to some people, I'm probably still a baby.
Even so, I've lived enough life to know that life can be beautiful—and it can absolutely put you through it.
I've experienced some of life's greatest disappointments, tragedies, and letdowns. I've navigated the loss of a child, divorce at a young age, health challenges, PTSD, perimenopause...the whole gamut. It has not been easy.
And through all of it, I became that woman.
The one who doesn't ask for help. The one who takes on another responsibility because, really, who's going to do it better than us? The one who makes sure everybody and everything is taken care of—and somehow keeps moving herself further down the list.
But I've learned that carrying everything isn't doing us any favors.
Neither is neglecting ourselves until it starts changing the way we look at ourselves, the way we feel about ourselves, and eventually, the way we move through the world.
There comes a point when taking care of yourself isn't indulgent. It's necessary.
And no, I haven't mastered that either.
I'm still learning how to choose myself without feeling like I'm letting somebody else down.
That's part of my Mildly Feral life, too.
Self-Preservation
Self-Preservation is the yin to Mildly Feral's yang.
The reset. The pause we need from the chaos we call our lives.
It's the softer, more feminine side of Mildly Feral—created to give us that moment of peace with ourselves once the to-do list is complete...or when our nerves have simply had enough for the day.
Because sometimes you need to turn everything off. Wash the day from your face. Light the candle. Put something on your lips. Smell good. Feel good. And enjoy a few minutes where nobody needs anything from you.
Self-Preservation was created with products formulated to soothe your senses, help you slow down, and make you look good while doing it.
It doesn't have to be an entire self-care day.
Sometimes it's just your moment.
Mildly Feral is the life we live.
Self-Preservation is how we recover.
